SARAH / HAIR-AH

Originally from New Zealand, Sarah always had an eye for style. From a young age she was passionate about fashion; poring over The Face, studying design, heading a boutique fashion label and styling editorial and music videos for the last 20 years in LA. 

Sarah’s interest in hair was synonymous with her love of fashion.  After training at Toni & Guy in Los Angeles, Sarah transitioned her passion into a career. She continues to hone her skills with advanced cutting courses through Vidal Sassoon, Left Brain Group, Pony Education and many more.

Upon graduation, Sarah was mentored by Julio Romano, famous/infamous for pioneering razor cutting and dry cutting in the 90’s. Sarah still works alongside Julio at his East Hollywood Salon, Shampoolio, a queer-friendly destination for everyone from actors and pop stars to the everyday fabulous. 

Sarah specializes in intuitive dry cutting, razor cuts, precision cuts and loves to embrace all hair types and textures. 
For two decades, she’s been cutting her friends’ hair so that they look and feel their best self. That’s the driving ethos that she continues to this day.
